Aditya Engineering College, Surampalem is an autonomous college established in 2002. It is approved by All India Council For Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi and accredited by the National Board of Assessment [NBA]. It is affiliated to Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University Kakinada [JNTUK], Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] with "A" Grade and accredited by IAO. The college has also received UGC recognition.

The college is spread in an area of 180 acres with thick greenery at Surampalem, Gandepalli, Mandal, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The college has four buildings namely: Cotton Bhavan, K.L Rao Bhavan, Bill Gates Bhavan, Abdul Kalam Bhavan. It has two boys hostels and one girl's hostel buildings. The total strength of the student is 5052 with a faculty strength of 355.

AEC provides quality education with undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering & technology. The college offers 9 UG and 8 PG programs in Engineering, MCA, MBA, and MBA [Integrated] with 15 years of excellence in the educational area. The college has a spacious, well stacked and stacked central library. 1,35,000 volumes of books are there with nearly, 15000 prominent titles and as many international journals. The college provides facilities for physically handicapped people.
